In order to get into the house of Parliament and onto the public benches, the accused assaulted the parliamentary guards [name of the guards], with violence and threats of violence and force, the guards were held, pushed, and prevented from performing their legal duties. The accused forcefully entered the building and proceeded to force their way up the stairs that lead to the public benches, and in the process assaulted the parliamentary guards [names of guards] in the same manner and the police officer [name of police officer], with the intent of getting to the public benches. With their behavior the accused violated the immunity and peace of Parliament, spoiling its ability to work in peace, as well as threatening its security. All as is further described in items 1-5:

  1. The accused Þór interfered with [Parliament guard 1] performing her duties by holding the east door of the Parliament building open despite the fact that [Parliament guard 1] tried to close them.

  5. The accused Andri Leó resisted forcefully when [Parliament guard 2] tried to get him out of the building and during the altercation he pushed [Parliament guard 1] with his right hand so that she fell backwards onto a radiator in the lobby.
  6. As the accused, along with a group of unknown persons, forcibly tried to go up the staircase leading to the public benches, [Parliament guard 5] and [Parliament guard 6], along with [police officer 1], prevented the group from further ascending the staircase, and were shortly thereafter assisted by [Parliament guard 3] and [Parliament guard 4], but the group, including the accused, tried to get past them by pushing, shoving, and by climbing over them. The accused, Snorri Páll, along with an unknown female, made his way onto the public benches, and once there, shouted at members of Parliament to get out.

The consequences of the attack were that [Parliament guard 1] sprained her neck, upper back, breast and lower back and sustained a bruise to her breast, [Parliament guard 3] sprained his left shoulder, [Parliament guard 4] received bruises to both arms, a bruise to her right thigh, and suffered some soreness in the back of her head, [Parliament guard 5] suffered a mild sprain to the back of his head, and [Police officer 1] sustained injuries to his right thumb and right knee and his permanent medical disability is 8%.
